How the Bublitz Alarm B1(Bublitz Alarm B2) works

It is very simple! The burglar has a problem: He is outside and wants to get in. In order to do this, he either has to break a window, break open or kick in a door. Even if he goes about it skilfully, the minute the door or window is unhinged, there is a slight change in pressure. That alone is not enough to set off the alarm, as we also have changes in pressure when there is a thunderstorm, storm, supersonic boom etc. Apart from the changes in pressure, the Bublitz alarm system measures and evaluates changes in the oscillation of the air.

Air volume has a particular oscillation, whose frequency and amplitude is measurable. A simple example: When holding a small shell to your ear, you can hear a high noise. If you take a large shell, you can hear a low noise. If you could hold your house or apartment to your ear, the noise would be so low, because the air volume is so big that you wouldn’t be able to hear it any more. These are oscillations between 1 and 16 Hertz. This is the reason why the occupants and pets can freely move around when the alarm system is activated. On measuring, the Bublitz alarm system records the status quo within the building (as long as the red diode is blinking). After that, both pressure and oscillation are constantly measured and compared. If the two values change significantly due to intrusions typical for burglaries (try of opening windows and/or doors or breaking glass), the alarm will be set off immediately and reliably – as a rule on an attempt, i.e. when the window and/or door is still closed and the burglar is still outside.

When you switch on the alarm, it needs 2 minutes to measure (during this period, you can, for example, leave the house or apartment). For actuarial reasons, you should close all windows and doors when you leave the house. Our alarm system measures the status quo within these 2 minutes. After that, the alarm is “set” and registers intrusions typical for burglaries (forcing open, breaking open, breaking windows, kicking in doors) with the highly sensitive internal sensors, which do not send any infrared or radio waves.

With our alarm system, we monitor the whole exterior of houses and apartments without any problems, even over several floors and to a maximum of 600 sqm (often even substantially more, depending on the building), with only one limitation: The rooms we have to monitor must be connected by air. That means that if the inner doors close airtight (rubber sealing or carpet underneath the door) then the door should be left ajar: that’s all! If an inner door has to be left closed, e.g. a fire door or the garage door, then an additional wireless opening alarm is placed in the room concerned.

When you get back home and open the door, you would immediately set off the alarm. In order to avoid that, you can programme an alarm delay that is infinitely variable to a maximum of 45 seconds (experience shows 15 to 20 seconds are sufficient), so that you have time to switch off the alarm.

If you want the alarm to be set off immediately (setting the alarm delay at 0), a remote control will also be necessary. With this, you can switch off the alarm before opening the door using a portable transmitter, a key switch or a coded lock. When selecting the wireless option, you also have the possibility of setting off a full alarm using the portable transmitter in the case of personal danger or a domestic accident. To report a fire, the wireless option is mandatory, as the wireless smoke detector and the alarm system have to be able to communicate with each other in the case of an alarm. In addition, a silent alarm can additionally be set off using an automatic telephone dialler (in this way, up to 80% of all burglars can be caught “in the act”), which reports to your mobile, neighbours, relatives, friends or our 24-hour nationwide emergency service.
